The pioneering character in the model of promoting innovation for inclusive sustainable development of tropical regions is an indelible feature of the Tropical Summit. A forum strategically aligned with 2030 Agenda, seeks to ensure that the targets set in it are realized within the expected horizon, and that they are not extended to the 2040s and 2050s that many speeches and personalities already advocate. The emphasis is on solutions that can be implemented in the short and medium term and on tangible results, prompting participants not only to idealize, but rather to actively contribute to projects that can create a real and lasting impact in tropical regions.

Understanding the intimate association between the production of knowledge, its intelligible dissemination and progress is fundamental to the approach of the Tropical Summit. To this end, several models of intervention in the event have been designed that foster joint work between the various actors. Emphasis is made on the presentation of projects, workshops and multi-lateral meetings, technical-scientific sessions, in addition to the high-level interventions and plenary sessions, and going through formats that prevail by sharing the example of the implementation of knowledge and technology in the field, and also of stimulation to collaboration, such as the pitch and reverse pitch moments, science-company interface, B2B meetings and networking sessions.
